EuroMillions Jackpot: £185m Winning Numbers Announced

The UK has its eyes glued to the National Lottery results as the winning numbers for this week’s colossal £185 million EuroMillions jackpot have now been unveiled.

Tuesday night’s National Lottery EuroMillions numbers are: 18, 28, 42, 46 and 48. The two Lucky Star numbers are three and nine.

It’s one of the largest jackpots in EuroMillions history, a life-changing fortune for any single winner. Alongside the staggering prize, the Thunderball draw offered its own tempting sum. A jackpot of £500,000 was up for grabs.

The winning Thunderball numbers were: 21, 29, 34, 36, and 38, with the Thunderball itself being 8.

Winners have 180 days from the draw date to step forward and claim their prizes. I miss that window, and the money goes back into the prize pool.

In recent weeks, luck has been spread generously. Best friends Carly Wiggett and Becky Witt from Dartford, Kent, scooped £168,000 each after taking advice from a horoscope.

“A Pisces and Taurus would win the lottery if they entered together,” Carly’s mum, Tracy, told them. The rest, as they say, is history.

Another big win came from across the Irish Sea, a Cork family bagged a jaw-dropping £216 million. Their plans? To keep life simple. “No outrageous plans to spend the cash yet, except maybe a Rolex,” they said.

But fortune has a dark side. Some lottery winners have faced tragic turns after their windfall, stories of betrayal, abduction, substance abuse, and worse. The so-called “lottery curse” has struck more than a few.

To secure the full £185 million EuroMillions jackpot, a ticket must match all five main numbers plus both Lucky Stars. For the Thunderball’s £500,000 top prize, it’s all five numbers and the Thunderball.

The hunt for the next multi-millionaire is on. And tonight, the UK waits to see if the newest winner will emerge from its shores.
