EFG London Jazz Festival 2025 Unveils Exciting Lineup Across Iconic London Venues
The eagerly anticipated EFG London Jazz Festival 2025 is set to ignite the capital with a vibrant mix of jazz and global music from 14 to 23 November.
Spanning a variety of venues across London, the festival promises an eclectic programme that blends international talent with fresh collaborations, including a new partnership with Melbourne International Jazz Festival and a unique showcase connected to the Aga Khan Music Awards 2025.
One of the festival’s highlights comes on Saturday, 15 November at Kings Place Hall 2, where the trio L’Antidote will debut their first UK performance.
The ensemble, consisting of Iranian percussionist Bijan Chemirani, Lebanese pianist Rami Khalifé, and Albanian cellist Redi Hasa, will present an innovative project that fuses their diverse musical roots.
The following day, Union Chapel will host the Idrîsî Ensemble, whose performance will draw inspiration from Sufi, Andalusian, and contemporary traditions.
Meanwhile, the Vortex Jazz Club will showcase The Great Reset, a fresh collaboration featuring South Korean vocalist Sunny Kim, Polish pianist Joanna Duda, and Australian double bassist Helen Svoboda, making its world premiere as part of the Melbourne International Jazz Festival alliance.
Adding to the excitement on 16 November, acclaimed jazz drummer Nate Smith will take to the stage at KOKO. Smith, a three-time Grammy nominee from Virginia, has an impressive track record collaborating with artists such as Brittany Howard.
As the festival nears its conclusion, on Saturday 22 November, the Barbican will welcome Chicago-based band Tortoise for a 2.30pm matinee concert.
Band members Jeff Parker, Dan Bitney, Douglas McCombs, John Herndon, and John McEntire will deliver their first new music in nearly ten years.
That evening, Queen Elizabeth Hall will host the Aga Khan Music Awards Concert in the UK for the very first time. This event will feature live performances alongside short films showcasing the 2025 award winners.
The final day of the festival, Sunday 23 November, will see musician and former Aga Khan Music Award recipient Soumik Datta perform a matinee concert at the Purcell Room, continuing the festival’s special collaboration with the awards programme.
