Masha Slamovich Addresses Domestic Abuse Allegations: “I Am Sorry, Embarrassed, and Ashamed”
Professional wrestler Masha Slamovich has issued a public statement in response to domestic abuse allegations made by her former mate, independent wrestler AKIRA.
The allegations surfaced before this week when a friend of AKIRA shared screenshots and images online, purportedly showing substantiation of abuse.
The content included dispatches and prints that AKIRA claims depict physical and emotional mistreatment.
Following the emergence of these allegations, Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling initiated an internal investigation.
Slamovich was subsequently removed from several independent wrestling events, including her scheduled match at TNA’s Victory Road pay-per-view.
Reports also indicate that her TNA contract is nearing its expiration, with no confirmation yet on whether she will re-sign with the company.
In a statement posted on social media, Slamovich acknowledged the allegations and expressed remorse: “Up until the beginning of this year, I was in a toxic and mutually destructive relationship.
We hurt each other deeply, and in private moments, failed to treat each other with the consideration and respect we both deserve.
I take responsibility for my actions, and I am sorry … relationship and the way things turned out.
In the time since, I ….
I apologize to those that I ….
This will be my only statement … ”
