London train service offers Oasis fans discounted fares for Wembley Stadium concerts
As London prepares for the highly anticipated return of Oasis after 16 years, the capital is set to welcome over 90,000 fans this Friday, July 25. Many supporters will be arriving from all corners of the globe, eager to experience the band’s first London show in over a decade.
To ease the travel burden, Heathrow Express is stepping up with a special offer for rail passengers heading to and from Heathrow Airport.
The premium rail service, which runs a swift 15-minute journey from London Paddington to Heathrow Central, is providing an 8% discount on full fare tickets. This offer runs from July 25 through to Sunday, August 3.
Fans can redeem the discount online or through the Heathrow Express app using the code OASIS8. Notably, the offer extends to additional passengers booked on the same journey, making group travel more affordable.
This move comes amid soaring ticket resale prices, some exceeding £200, and rising hotel costs in London as excitement for the band’s Wembley gigs reaches fever pitch. The 8% discount is a nod to Oasis’s eight UK number-one singles and applies to both Express Class and Business First tickets.
Aoife Considine, Business Lead at Heathrow Express, emphasised the significance of the event: “We know this is more than just a gig – it’s a major moment for thousands of fans around the world.
People are travelling hundreds of miles, often at great personal cost, to be part of it. We wanted to do something practical to support them.”
She added, “Whether you’re flying in from Manchester, Madrid or Melbourne, your journey into London should be as easy and affordable as possible – it should start on the right note.”
With the city preparing for what’s being called a Britpop revival, Heathrow Express is doing its part to make travel smoother for fans and fellow passengers alike.
For many, this discount offers a small but welcome relief amid the excitement and expense of attending a once-in-a-lifetime concert.
