Carrie Hope Fletcher to Headline Waitress UK Tour in 2026
Suckers of musical theatre are in for a treat as the megahit Broadway and West End favourite Waitress sets off on a brand-new UK and Ireland stint in 2026.
The show, loved worldwide for its blend of humour, heart, and soulful music, will launch at the New Wimbledon Theatre on Saturday 28 March 2026.
Taking the lead role of Jenna, the pie-baking heroine at the centre of the story, will be none other than West End sensation Carrie Hope Fletcher.
Her casting has already sparked excitement among theatre lovers. “Performances begin at the New Wimbledon Theatre from Saturday 28 March 2026,” the producers confirmed, adding that further casting announcements will follow soon.
Carrie Hope Fletcher is no stranger to commanding the stage. She’s presently dazing cult in the UK and Ireland stint of disaster Jane.
Her expansive list of credits includes Cinderella in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cinderella, Veronica Sawyer in Heathers, and Wednesday Addams in The Addams Family.
Each of these places has earned her a pious following and several accolades, including multiple WhatsOnStage Awards for Stylish Actress in a Musical.

Fletcher’s versatility has seen her take on iconic places similar as Fantine and Eponine in Les Misérables, Elizabeth in The Crown Jewels, and Beth in Jeff Wayne’s War of the Worlds.
Her career spans theatre, musicales, and indeed erudite success as an author and vlogger, making her one of the UK’s most recognised and respected players.
Waitress is grounded on Adrienne Shelly’s 2007 film and features original music and lyrics by Grammy winner Sara Bareilles.
