London Fan Heartbroken After Oasis Cardiff Tickets Vanish Due to Seller’s Listing Blunder
A London-based Oasis fan has been left heartbroken after discovering that the tickets she carefully bought for the band’s long-awaited Cardiff reunion were no longer valid, following a seller’s critical mistake.
Beth North, a 29-year-old support worker, had spent £730 on four tickets for the Saturday, July 5th, show at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, plus an additional £45 on parking.
She purchased the tickets through Twickets, a verified ticket resale platform, trusting the process to be secure. Just days ahead of the major event, Beth opened the app to retrieve her tickets, but they had mysteriously disappeared.
It turns out the original seller had listed the same set of tickets twice. The tickets had initially been reserved for another buyer who delayed in responding, leading the seller to relist them.
Sadly for Beth, when both buyers completed the purchases, the tickets were awarded to the first buyer who managed to download them first, leaving her empty-handed.
“I genuinely thought my tickets were safe,” Beth said. “To have them taken away just days before the show was absolutely devastating. I’ve dreamed of seeing Oasis live for so long, and this reunion meant the world to me.”
Twickets apologised and confirmed that a refund was processed promptly on July 1, advising Beth to keep checking the platform for additional resale tickets, as more often become available closer to the event.
This heartbreak comes as massive crowds gather in Cardiff to witness the Oasis reunion, a historic moment fans have waited 16 years to see. With the city buzzing, many have travelled from across the UK and beyond to experience the band’s iconic return.
“This really should not have happened,” Beth added. “I trusted Twickets as a verified site, but I’m left scrambling at the last minute trying to find new tickets. This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and now I might miss it.”
Richard Davies, the founder of Twickets, expressed his regret by saying, “We deeply apologize for what Beth went through.” While the issue was due to the seller’s mistake, we acted quickly to process a refund and support her in finding alternative tickets.”
As the Cardiff shows draw nearer, many fans like Beth continue to search in hope, clinging to the chance of being part of Oasis’s monumental return.
